Let’s take an example:

Step 1: Enable GST in TallyPrime

  1. Press F11 > Statutory & Taxation
  2. Set Enable Goods and Services Tax (GST): Yes
  3. Enter Company GST Details
  4. Press Ctrl + A to save

Step 2: Create or Update Necessary Ledgers

1. Indirect Income Ledger (e.g., Commission Income)

  • Go to: Accounts Info > Ledgers > Create
  • Name: Commission Income

  3. Choose Commission Income as the sales ledger
  4. Enter amount: ₹10,000
  5. Add GST Ledgers (CGST + SGST or IGST)
  6. Total invoice amount will be ₹11,800
  7. Save with a narration like:
