TallyPrime allows you to include a list of co-products, by-products, and scrap generated during the job work process within the job work out order invoice. Here’s how to achieve this:

1. Printing Co-Product/By-Product/Scrap List in TallyPrime:

1. Create or Open a Job Work Out Order:

Follow the steps mentioned earlier to create a new Job Work Out Order or open an existing one for editing.

2. Enable Printing Option:

  • While the Job Work Out Order is open, press P: Print. This opens the “Job Work Out Order Printing Configuration” screen.
  • In the printing configuration, locate the option “Print Co-Product/By-Product/Scrap List”.**
  • Select “Yes” to include the list in the invoice.

    2. Example: Leather (raw material) to a manufacturer for processing into bags

Let’s say you’re sending leather (raw material) to a manufacturer for processing into bags. During the process, there might be leather cuttings (scrap) generated.

    • Create a Job Work Out Order for the bag manufacturing.
    • Open the order for editing and press P: Print.
    • In the printing configuration, select “Yes” for “Print Co-Product/By-Product/Scrap List”.

    3. Adding Co-Products/By-Products/Scrap in TallyPrime:

    • In the Job Work Out Order voucher, you’ll see sections for “Co-Products”, “By-Products”, and “Scrap”.
    • Click on the respective section (e.g., “Co-Products”).
    • A new window will open where you can add details like:
      • Name of Item: Select the co-product/by-product/scrap item from your stock list.
      • Quantity: Enter the estimated quantity of co-product/by-product/scrap generated during the job work process.
      • % of Cost Allocation (Optional): Specify the percentage of cost to be allocated to the co-product/by-product/scrap (relevant for costing purposes).
      • Rate (Optional): Enter the rate per unit of the co-product/by-product/scrap (if known).

      4. Adding Leather Cuttings (Scrap) in the Example:

      • Click on the “Scrap” section in the Job Work Out Order.
      • Select “Leather Cuttings” as the name of the scrap item.
      • Enter the estimated quantity of leather cuttings generated (e.g., 10 kg).

      5. Save and Print:

      • After adding all relevant co-products, by-products, and scrap, save the Job Work Out Order (Ctrl+A).
      • Now, when you print the invoice (using the print option within the Job Work Out Order), it will include the details you entered for co-products, by-products, and scrap along with the finished product information.

        6. Additional Notes:

        • Including co-product/by-product/scrap information helps with better production cost estimation and material management.
        • The rate and cost allocation percentages are optional and can be filled later based on actual production data.
        • TallyPrime allows you to customize the printing layout to display the co-product/by-product/scrap list in a preferred format.
