View & Analyze Balance Sheet in TallyPrime: 5 Easy Steps

Here’s how to view and analyze the Balance Sheet in TallyPrime:

1. Accessing the Balance Sheet:

  • Method 1:
    • Press Alt+G (Go To)
    • Type or select “Balance Sheet”
    • Press Enter
  • Method 2:

2. Viewing the Balance Sheet:

  • By default, the Balance Sheet displays horizontally with liabilities on the left and assets on the right.
  • For a vertical view (Source and Application of funds), press Ctrl+H (Change View) and select “Vertical.”

3. Detailed View:

  • Press Alt+F1 (Detailed) to view a more detailed breakdown of each account.
  • Double-click on any account to drill down further into its details.

4. Analyzing the Balance Sheet:

  • Key Ratios:
    • TallyPrime automatically calculates key financial ratios like Current Ratio, Quick Ratio, Debt-to-Equity Ratio, and more.
      View them under “Ratio Analysis” (Gateway of Tally > Ratio Analysis).
  • Comparative Analysis:
    • Compare the Balance Sheet with previous periods or other companies to identify trends and financial performance.
    • To compare, go to Balance Sheet > press F5 (Compare with) and select the desired period or company.
  • Customization:
    • Use F12 (Configure) to customize the Balance Sheet’s appearance and content, such as adding or removing columns, changing the date range, or filtering data.

  • Use the “Go To” feature (Alt+G) to quickly search and view any report in TallyPrime, including the Balance Sheet.
