2. Steps to Create a Job Work Out Order in TallyPrime:
1. Go to Voucher Entry:
There are two ways to access the Job Work Out Order voucher:
- Gateway of Tally > Vouchers > Press F10 (Other Vouchers) and type or select “Job Work Out Order” and press Enter.
- Alternatively, press Alt+G (Go To) > Create Voucher > Press F10 (Other Vouchers) and select “Job Work Out Order”.
3. Enter Voucher Details in TallyPrime:
- Party’s A/c Name: Select the Job Worker (Supplier) account from the list.
- Order No.: Enter a unique Job Work Out Order number (optional).
- Name of Item: Select the finished product (Stock Item) for which you’re placing the order.
- Track Components (Optional): Choose “Yes” if you want to track the raw materials issued to the job worker.
- Due On: Enter the expected date for receiving the finished goods from the job worker.
- Godown: Select the godown (warehouse) from where the raw materials will be issued.
- Quantity, Rate, and Amount: Enter the quantity of finished goods you expect to receive and its rate per unit. The amount will be calculated automatically.
- Narration (Optional): Add any additional information about the job work.
4. Example: Raw Cloth (Job Worker) to be Stitched into Shirts
Let’s say you want to send 100 meters of raw cloth to a tailor (Job Worker) to be stitched into shirts. You expect to receive 50 shirts and the rate per shirt is Rs. 200.
- Party’s A/c Name: [Select Tailor’s Account Name]
- Name of Item: Shirts
- Track Components: No (if you’re not issuing specific raw materials)
- Due On: (Enter expected delivery date)
- Godown: [Select Godown where cloth is stored]
- Quantity: 50
- Rate: 200
- Amount: 10,000 (calculated automatically)
- Narration: Job work for stitching 100 meters of cloth into shirts.
5. Save the Voucher:
Press Ctrl+A to save the Job Work Out Order.

- You can use Alt+F5 to view the stock details of the finished product before saving.
- To record the issued raw materials (if applicable), create a separate “Material In” voucher after saving the Job Work Out Order.
- TallyPrime allows you to track the job work process and generate reports to monitor the status and costs associated with it.
