1. Understanding Buyer and Consignee in TallyPrime

  • Buyer (Bill to): The party who is legally responsible for the purchase and payment.
  • Consignee (Ship to): The party who receives the goods or services.

For example, a company might purchase goods for a client and have them shipped directly to the client’s address.

2. Steps to Specify Separate Buyer and Consignee in TallyPrime:

1. Create Ledger Accounts:

Create separate ledger accounts for the buyer and consignee.

2. Create Sales Invoice:

Go to Gateway of Tally > Vouchers > Press F8 (Sales).

3. Enter Party Details:

In the “Party’s A/c Name” field, select the buyer’s account.

4. Specify Consignee:

In the “Consignee’s A/c Name” field, select the consignee’s account.

5. Enter Other Details:

Enter the quantity, rate, and other relevant details for the sale.

6. Save the Invoice:

Press Ctrl+A to save the sales invoice.
